#Making Money From Your Pinterest Boards

Pinterest drives more referral traffic to sites than YouTube, Google+, and LinkedIn combined? That was a real eye-opener for me when I discovered that little yet enormous fact!

I downloaded this eBook by Jo Barnes last year and I have to admit that despite having a Pinterest account for well over a year, up to I did download it I wasn’t making any money from my Pinterest ‘Boards’.  Since putting some of the things I learned from the book into practice I am now beginning to get visitors from Pinterest to my websites that actually do convert into buyers.

The text below was what Jo Barnes wrote about Pinterest when it was first launched.

Don’t Believe The Hype I Said! It’s Not Going To Be The Next Facebook or Google!

I have no doubt that over the last year you would have seen headlines such as;

“Pinterest Drives More Sales Than Facebook”

“Pinterest is now the 3rd most popular social network in the US”

“Pinterest is the fastest growing site ever!”

Well, I have to tell you right up front, when Pinterest first launched I wrote a blog post and publicly declared – ‘Don’t get caught up in the hype ladies & gents, I doubt very much it’s the next Facebook or Google’. (Hence the title of this blog)

Now whilst technically that statement is entirely accurate right now – (Facebook stands at 1 billion users, Google+ at 500 million users and Pinterest at 11 million,) I was actually inferring that it would be a passing fad, so much so, that it took me a further 3 months before I even looked at it!

Well, I’m the first to admit my mistakes and I have to wholeheartedly say – I was wrong!

Not only is Pinterest definitely not a passing fad, it is also an amazing, untapped by many, source of traffic.

The “No Sweat No Brainer” Secret Weapon Top Marketers Are Using To Quickly and Effortlessly “Bump” Traffic By Double, Triple or Even More!

I hope you will find this eBook helpful in your online marketing campaigns with Wealthy Affiliate or with any other campaigns you have. I certainly do and I’m sure you will too.

  1. Hello Melania. What a nice name (I’ve never seen it spelled that way before)
Anyway thank you for your comment. I do love to receive long and detailed comments because it shows the commenter has really thought about what they want to say and in all fairness to the author of the Pinterest Marketing book I have to agree with you that there are some topic of Affiliate/Internet Marketing she hasn’t covered very well or left out all together.
But I thought it deserved its place among the other many books I have given access to on my site and at the end of the day it is up to the visitor whether they want to download it or not.
Also as you say it does have some useful tips/advice for the ‘Newbie’ affiliate marketer.
I’m glad you also where able to learn something from it as I did myself.
Once again, thank you for visiting my site and leaving your interesting comment and please do visit again as I do update this site at least twice a week.
have a nice day wherever you are in the world.
    Regards

  4. I am not positive where you’re getting your information, however good topic.
I must spend a while learning more or figuring out more.
Thank you for excellent information I was looking for this information for my mission.

  5. Hello. I don’t know if you use WordPress or not but if you do there is the – SEO All-In-One (free).
After you instal it you will be given the option to upgrade to the ‘Pro’ version but you don’t need to as the basic one is all you really need.
You can also open an account with Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools (both free)
You just need to follow the instructions and submit the Sitemap you’re given in your WordPress to Webmnaster Tools and you’re redy to go. (register with Annalytics first because you can verify your Webmaster Tools sitemap through it)
Both these tools are really good and as I said, they’re free.
    Hope this helps.

  6. Hi Rayma. Thank you for your comment and yes Pinterest can send you lots of traffic.
Although what you offer on your boards is important in that its probably connected to products you’re promoting its who you follow that is relevant to that product(s). Even the most uninteresting boards you follow yourself doesn’t mean they aren’t interesting to lots of other people and its those people who you want to connect with and so on and so and so on etc etc.
    Its the snowball effect Rayma.
If you’re thinking of having a go at it yourself then do so. Remember it takes quite a while to achieve a worthwhile ‘Following’ but it can pay dividends with traffic to your site(s).
I will visit your site and leave a comment as well.
    Have a nice day.
    Regards
    Robert Allan
