#How To Increase Your Leads with Good Search Engine and Lead Optimization Strategies
The best and most productive way for an affiliate/internet marketer to succeed is through fast lead generation and follow up. And in order to increase their leads, they must start off accepting their current traffic and lead conversion ratio.
I’m willing to wager you have asked yourself – How many visitors will it take for me to generate a lead?
In most cases the conversion is close to a poor 200 to1 and you really should be aiming for 50 to1 at the most, but probably 30 to1 is more realistic.
Conversion comes from on-page conversion optimization and keyword representation.
Most people have heard of Search Engine Optimization, but you don’t hear much said about on-page conversion optimization.
First of all, this whole concept pre-supposes that you are starting off with a most wanted action. Sometimes this is Branding, sometimes its Leads. And many times its both lead capture and branding that you are asking your website to do.
If Leads are what you want most then your call to action will be critical. This should be your main feature and other features will only distract your visitors from your objective.
On-Page factors that may increase or decrease conversion are:
Asking them to sign up. Color can attract or distract Too many buttons Too many images/banners
Distracting Animations. Where are you placing your call to action? Varieties of your Call to Action The frequency of your call to action
These are just a few of the attributes that may help your lead count to grow.
There is a reason that studies have found that Pay per Click search engine results often render poor conversion rates.
The reason is that you can only use high volume keywords with pay per click. These high volume keywords are by their very nature generalized. They are also the most profitable with regard to a search. But what may profit the search engine does not always profit you. This is not to say that pay per click doesn’t have its place in a search marketing campaign.
#Keywords For Profitability
Keywords of course play a very important role in your marketing strategy. Let’s say your niche was Car Repair. 9 times out 10, you will want to build your site to be the number one for this particular niche. While this is a worthy objective, it is at best very short sighted. Words like ‘car repair’, ‘car repair at home’, ‘do it yourself car repair’, are all high volume keywords in just about any country in the world.
However, a successful marketing campaign must employ search engine click throughs that are made up of general and specific ‘traffic streams’. This is because traffic is a comprehensive endeavor. You wouldn’t just sell someone a hammer to knock out the dents in their car and leave them to get on with it? You couldn’t expect huge profits could you? No you would have all sorts of car repair aids to offer with maybe a few upsells for later on.
However, this is exactly what most internet marketers do when they go after a few high volume keywords.
Traffic is made up of the combined visits that come from various inquiries into a search engine. Each inquiry represents a countless amount of possible traffic determined by the placement in the engine, for a particular keyword phrase.
Therefore a few keywords aren’t going to make your business. You need a wide variety and a whole lot of words in order to get the most traffic and lead conversion.
But not all keywords or traffic are created equal. Step out of my example of the car repair niche for a moment and imagine yourself at Kindle.com. What would you be more happy with?
500 visitors that typed in, Books? Or 500 visitors that typed in “EL James”? Or typed in “Fifty Shades Of Grey” or better yet, typed in “EL James, Fifty Shades Of Grey”? The more specific you get, conversion goes up and the closer you can get to that elusive 1 to1 conversion.
The challenge however, is that the more specific you get with your keywords, the less traffic you will get. Therefore you need to present a large amount of these specific keywords that produce low traffic by themselves, but together will create a large flow of traffic that converts.
By optimizing your keywords and your on-page factors that are going to drive people to your site, you will take your visitor to conversion ratio down to a respectable number.
There you have it people and I hope I have given you enough information to put into practice the importance of getting your website search engine friendly. Without good or even average SEO ‘good practice’ your website is not going to give you a huge return on the time and effort you have put into creating it.
There is an online platform called Wealthy Affiliate that has a great program where you will have access to all the video training, classrooms and tutorials you will ever need to get you up and running to earning that income from the internet as an affiliate marketer.
You can do all this from within the Wealthy Affiliate program and more. You will have access to the two owners, thousands of other members 24/7 – 365 days of the year and there’s even a ‘Bootcamp’ where you will have access to even more functions that will enable you to make even more money. And you wont have to go anywhere because you can do it all from the comfort of your own home.
Did I mention it was free. Well it is, so you can put away your credit card because you can have a free Starter Membership for absolutely nothing. There is another paid option within WA that works out at about 66 cents a day. You don’t have to take WA up on this, you can stay where you are and get two free websites with free hosting. Of course you get more with the paid option. Twenty Five free websites and also all of them with free hosting. You can even have any website you already own hosted for free as well. It is a pretty good deal but you can make your mind up about this after you join and see for yourself just what’s on offer and just how much you can achieve with the program.
